Are you targeting specific people or are you targeting an area? If your goal is to target an area you should check out this article (as well as a few others in the article section of this site): http://www.reiclub.com/articles/12-cent-postcards

If you are targeting particular people and still need a mail merge program you can use Microsoft Word’s built in mail merge program. I’m no Word expert so I can’t really give you instructions but you should be able to find lots on instructions in Word’s internal help function or online.

Thank you.
i will look in to that.

Rich,

Thanks for that link. I have been looking for a way to contact a large group of people that own vacant lots in my area, but I was confused on really how to get started.

Microsofts Mail Merge is a snap. I have used it for a few years.
All you need to do is have your data in an excel spreadsheet, open a blank word document, go to tools, mail merge, and you are off and running. Follow the mail merge instructions on the right. You should be able to run a few hundred names in about an hour or two.

I agree, Microsoft Mailmerge is a great tool and fairly easy to use. It is located under the Tools menu.

Depending on where you are getting your data? Title company can put the list in a data file for you so you can upload the data into either excel or a microsoft word document.

Once the data is loaded you create your main document, the letter and insert the mail merge ? into the letter ie

Dear Fname Lname:

I am writing to you regarding the property located at PROPADDRESS

You then hit merge to file, merge to printer and you are ready to mail
