I’ve absorbed so much information in rei that I’ve developed a serious case of analysis paralysis. I think the only way I’m going to get over this is to have somebody to guide me along the first few deals. I just don’t know who to talk to for a mentor. I go to the LAREIC meetings, and I’ve met two different people who I’ve tried to bend over backwards for to get them to help me out a little bit. They were obviously not as generous with their time and info as all you are. Then, two nights ago, I talked to a “professional mentor” and was ready to spend $2,000 for mentoring and I haven’t gotten a call back!!! I definitely don’t want that person as my mentor now…what’s going to happen when I’m in the middle of a deal and I don’t get a call back?
Thanks in advance for all your help…
I have family up in LA and they are trying to get into REI, so which club was that so I can make sure they dont go to that one…
SD,
I didn’t mean to give you the wrong info. The club I go to is LA Real Estate Investor’s Club at the Radisson by LAX the second Tuesday of each month. It’s an absolutely awesome club, but I’ve had some problems getting individuals to help me out. I don’t necessarily blame them because I’m sure they’re busy people and they may not be at the point in their careers where they can take on being a mentor. The club is great, but I was hoping to see if anybody in the area knows anybody knowledgeable that would be willing to help out a little bit.
How’s the investing down in SD?? Great place, I go there every couple of months to visit friends.
Just read the rules again for this forum and I didn’t notice first time it said no requests for mentors. Sorry about this post.
Thanks and sorry…
