Are you talking about seller financing or owner financing?
Seller financing is where you are the buyer, your seller is carrying all or part of the note instead of the bank. Think of Sub2 for late model homes. For older homes where the owner either owns the home outright or owes very little, and would like a monthly income for their retirement – almost any of the old books that tout “no money down” will cover many ways of buying this way.
Owner financing is where you are the seller. Most any of the books on Subject 2 or Lease Options will contain a lot of info, as this is the usual preferred exit strategy on properties obtained by these methods.
