Loan to LLC: question

Regarding a loan from myself to my single member LLC, do the signatures have to be witnessed, and if so, can the same person witness both the signature of the borrower, and the signature of the lender? Thanks.

generally, no witness is required. you aren’t going to sue yourself, are you?

mcwagner guided me in that direction and it makes perfect sense.

we received a loan from someone and we did actually have the promissory note notarized. this was an unsecured loan from someone.

now the two loans from myself and partner to business were not notarized. actually, i have not yet drawn them up! but i will [note to self - draw up promissory notes from July!]
