LLC and tax on rental income

It is my understanding that income of a LLC can be taxed as a SP. Would rental income/loss be shown on a Sch E?

Income from your LLC is taxed in accordance with the tax treatment elected for the LLC when the LLC was established. An LLC can elect to be treated for tax purposes as a partnership, as a corporation, or as a disregarded entity (sole propietorship).

For rental property operations, the disregarded entity or the partnership are the best elections. In the case of the disregarded entity, all rental income and expenses are reported on the taxpayers Schedule E (1040). The partnership LLC prepares a partnership return (Form 1065) and gives each partner a Schedule K-1 to report that partner’s share of the partnership income on the partner’s individual 1040.

Do you have an LLC? If so, how did you elect to have the LLC treated for tax purposes? If you did not make an election, how many members are in the LLC?
