listing with brokers during SS

I was just speaking with another of our members here on the phone. He mentioned that the bank required the house be listed before it could be bought via SS. I would appreciate any experiences you all have had with loss mitt requireing a house be listed before it could be purchased and if so how you dealt with it…

I would prefer to keep real estate agents out of the loop ,if I hit a bank that requires this, and like I said -like to hear everyones input.
