If I have a property under contract (albany NY)and I have a clause that allows me to list it, can I legally list this property on the MLS with a realtor in my name? If so, what paperwork do I need to fill out and how do I protect myself if necessary. Thanks

That would be a question for the realtor or the broker you plan to use.

the realtor Im using isnt sure. Im trying to find another realtor who can answer that question. In the mean time Im curious if anyone else is doing and if so, how

I could do that in my state, but I don’t NY. These types of issues are state specific. Are there any RE attorneys in your local REIA? You could call the state authority that regulates re transactions.
