licensed RE agent buying short sells

I’ve recently got my RE lic. Not quite sure how I should approach NOD’s as an investor interested in buying their property when they aren’t represented by an agent.

The only difference is that you need to disclose that you’re an agent. There is an agent in my area that specializes in short sales. He often lists the property on the MLS as he’s working the short sale. This accomplishes two things:

  1. If he sells it, he makes a commission and gets paid.

  2. If he can’t sell it, it gives him more leverage when selling the lender on the need to take a discount
