Are lease options illegal in Texas? I heard that they passed an act on something like this, but of course i know people are still doing it. If it is illegal how do you work around it?

They are not illegal, but the law changed concerning them which makes it extremely difficult to stay in compliance. People still do them because:
- They do not understand the law
- They think they have a way around it
There is no telling if a method works till it gets challenged in court.
