There is such a wealth of books and resources for learning how to landlord and purchase SFH and even apartments, but I have been having a much harder time finding resources to build my knowledge level on commercial. I am thinking about strip malls, office, retail, etc. Things I am thinking about are turnover costs, operating expenses (typical), how appreciation works in them as opposed to residential.

If you have any books that have been helpful, or other resources, post them up.

As I make the move from student housing into commercial I too am accumulating many a good read. Go to amazon click on books, then business and financing, then real estate, then search for commercial real estate. You’ll have all the books you could ever want on the subject there. Good luck.
