I was wondering if I would need new title insurance when placing a property into a land trust ( assuming an old purchase with existing title insurance) as the title will be changing from current to that of land trust.

Is the landtrust yours and are you doing it for asset protection? Then you don’t need titel insurance. But you do need to notify the lender that you are transferring your property to a land trust for asset protection purposes.

I had a chance to communicate with my mortage company. They wrote to me that I should make them the benificiary of the land trust.

I was wondering what would be the advantage of placing an already owned property into a land trust . I mean, there will be no privacy so where is the protection?
