I have purchased a house on a 2 yr land contract for $75,000. I put $3,000 down and have been paying $600 a month for 4 months now. Today a woman came to my door claiming to be from the mortgage company of the seller and said she was there to perform a foreclosure inspection and that their records show the house as vacant. All the paperwork was performed by a licensed real estate lawyer. Can they kick us out of our house and would i have to put a lien on the house to collect my lost moneys?
