Know any resources for credit and background checks??

Anyone have any good landlord resources for credit and background checks that aren’t too expensive? How about one that gives instant results instead of having to wait a day or two for an angency that runs it for you and gets back to you.

I ran into the delay issue, but didn’t find a way to get around sending the proper documents into the agency running the report.

There are a number mentioned on these boards, but I use e-renter.com

I use http://www.ntnnet.com/office/national/national.html the results are instantly on your screen and they do criminal and rental background as well as credit. They charge about $30 which I get from the applicant.

I used http://www.accuratecredit.com/ and got the Land Preferred package for $35.

I use the National Association of Independent Landlords - www.nail-usa.com. Instant credit and criminal background checks - $25 will do both depending on what you want.

However, I don’t usually get the criminal background check on the web, because you can get a free criminal background check by visiting the municipal court and common pleas court websites for your county. Most renters don’t move very far from home.

I use citicredit.net. For MA they give you a ton of info for only $19.95.
