Why isnt their stats for RE agents/brokers like how many times they where a buyer/agent on a property. how many times they sold a property as the only agent. or how many times they were the selling agent on a property.
just so people would know who is getting things done, and who they should look to be their buyer/listing agent.
I always thought they should keep a track record on lawyers also(cant stand 99% of them).
I am really starting to think that all you need to do to be a realtor is know the definitions of the words and pass the test.
Actually - you don’t even need to know the definitions of the words… Passing the test is the only thing that really matters… :O)
And by the way the statistics thing seems interesting… I believe we should get statistics on everybody… doctors (how many patients they treated/saved/not saved); investors (how many deals they closed/not closed); painters (how many houses they painted); etc… etc… You get the drill - it would be nice to get some background information on everybody you deal with - however sometimes it is not practical… Just my 2 cents.
By the way - I am a realtor and I keep track of my own statistics… Right now I have zero closings… :O)
I do think it would be very easy to track agents stats though. It would be a big help to investors and people looking for an agent.
plus don’t agents have awards for their performance ? like leading regional sales or something to that effect ?? they are obviously tracked then, how else would they get awards and such.
I think you need to be sure the agent has the experience to do what you want. An alternative would be an inexperienced HUNGRY agent that will work hard for you. They’re trying to build a reputation and a client base. Regardless of experience, you still have communicate your criteria to them and make the final decision to buy or not. Its very important to share your business plan with them also. They need to know exactly what you want done so they can focus their time and effort.
