John Beck Seminar $2500 - is it worth it?

Well, John Beck has been in the news lately with an expose of his infomercial on Inside Edition. - I didn’t know Inside Edition was expert in real estate! And, I’m having a little trouble separating the technical expertise of John Beck (which I believe is real) and the marketing guru who selected the houses to show in the infomercial which are designed to sell you some books and tapes.

So, next week, there is a seminar in New York with John Beck. The minimum charge to go is $2500 and more if you subscribe to Mentoring of America’s coaching program. Has anyone attended one of these seminars? Are they worth it? Is the coaching worth it? Would someone be able to do this without a coach? Thanks in advance for your help.

Avoid Beck at all cost. The guy is a shyster and his so called tax lien system is a joke.

For $2500… you can get a master’s degree i taxes at the community college!

All the best,
~Slim~

Google John Beck and ripoff in Google. Plus many legit gurus give seminars for free to promote their programs. The Learning Expo gives great Real Estate Seminars around the country, you may want to check them out.

Try to find real people in the business and see how truly successful they are on doing what they say…
I dont think John Beck made his fortune doing what he is teaching. i think he made it through his teaching…lol… go figure!!!..lol…
Alot of guru’s make most of there money teaching not doing the bizz…
What do you want to do in real estate???
Ron LeGrand has good stuff
I have even better… (thats me promoting myself)
Claude Diamond is good too.
But they all have there own nich…
What are you trying to accomplish???
Matt,

just to give you something to think about… all the so called “GURUS” you see on tv have a 3% success rate of their students buying even 1 house…Now try to imagine how few have been able to make a career just out of what they have learned from these gurus. Don’t get me wrong, if you buy their courses…and there is always several packages, you will learn a thing or two…but is it worth it…

Hey jackson,
I agree totally… thats why its good to find someone in the Biz realy doing it!!!

Find some one really doing it… and help them … you will learn alot that way…

The class room stuff is ok… But you can learn all that stuff from a book as well…
I am kind of torren… I learn both ways in the beginning and the best way too… going broke once or twice helps give you a few lessons as well!!!..lol…

If you are really seroius about doing this business… Just know this: the learning curve is steap and the road is narrow, but it does get easier as you go, but it does take years… Find people that are successful at it and listen to what they say… Learn for the books… take a few seminars… join a REI club… Loose a bunch of money, Make a bunch of money… find your niche… make more money… Help other people so they dont get beat-up as much as you did…

Ya its pretty fun…
Oh ya, back to the topic… Yes go take a seminar… I think we all did… and keep doing it… the seminars are funn!!!.. expensive but fun…

It is actaully worth $3,000, just make out a $500 check to me and the other $2500 to Beck. I will be glad to intepret the course for you.

Hey: Bluemoon06

I’ll teach you how to do Master lease options … but only on barn’s and open fields… Shared cash crop!!!.. oh ya baby!!! … Just pulling your leg…

to be honest all you need is the willingness to learn, a bunch of ebook and a good mentor
Cost:
5-10 ebook … $120-$240
Mentor 1 year … $3000-$15000

Absolutely agree - find someone that is actually buying and selling and learn from them. If you’re willing to work (sweat equity) for the knowledge, some who buy, repair and flip houses would likely take you on to teach you the ropes. But you’d have to agree to work as an intern or just for the ojt. Good luck
