The jobs number this morning was much lower than expected with the loss of 80,000 non-farm payroll jobs. The previous months were adjusted down also. The train is headed down the hill. On the plus side, the rental business may pick up. Here’s the link:
In other news, in 2008 there will be more than 28 MILLION people on food stamps. Based on what I see, the average “family” on food stamps has AT LEAST 3 people. If that assumption is true, that means that more than 84 million Americans are not basically living off the government in addition to all those who don’t work and don’t receive food stamps. Just the food stamp crowd are about 24% of the country. As the baby boomers leave the job market, who’s going to support all these deadbeats and what does that mean for the economy?
Hey Mike…just wait till the DEMOCRATS get in there.
Food Stamps are going to be handed out like PRE-APPROVED CREDIT CARDS!!!
Did you hear that Food Stamps are now placed on a card that looks like any credit or debit card???
The bleeding hearts said it was TOO EMBARASSING for people to rip out the old food stamps!!! They said the recipiants felt" like they were being looked down on" :shocked Because of the new cards MORE & MORE people are applying for food stamps because it’s not as embarassing as before!!! THAT’S WHAT I CALL A SUCCESSFUL GOVERMENT PROGRAM!!! Now they can just swipe a card like the other DOPES in this country who buy their groceries with 30% interest credit cards!!!
I also read this week that BOS (bank of Scotland) in predicting 200,000 WALL STREET lay offs in the next 6 months due to fall out from the banking mess.
