Does any mortgage broker or lender know if we will have to provide an ITIN when we submit our loan application for financing. We are non US citizens (Canadians) looking to purchase investment properties in Texas.

We have to resubmit our request for an ITIN number because we have to provide something in writing why in fact are we appyling for an ITIN number. However, do you know where I could get in writing that the lender will require us to provide an ITIN number so we can attach it with our application other wise they won’t give us the number?
