In San Antonio we have bimonthly meetings, one general and one educational.

First time I went, I went through registration and orientation where they told us how great investing is and the usual recruiting stuff. Nothing much happened, I walked around and got some promos and business cards from contractors and hard money lenders.

After that, the meetings are interesting where we have a speaker every couple of weeks who talks about investing strategies and they are all geared towards those starting up with no money. I am still getting business cards from people, so that is very helpful.

The meetings are not enough to teach you how to do it, they just give you options that you can take and investigate on your own and/or ask questions about. Once you understand your options, you can always take a course or attempt it on your own. From time to time, a speaker would share something you never thought of.

I do my best not to miss these meetings, I really enjoy the networking.

hey, I am from San Antonio too, and would love to know about that a bit more.

Hey Carivera,

You can go to http://www.sareia.com/ or if you like you can send me your email via private message and we can talk about it. They will let you attend once for free I think I am not sure. As far as networking and knowledge, I think it is a good investment.
