Is this legal?

I am interested in bringing forward any potential retail buyers and working in partnership with a few fellow investors who have the property available on a 50/50 split. Can anybody tell me if this would be regarded in anyway as unlawful?


I dont see a reason it would not be legal. But what exactly are you wanting to split?


If my partner is working on bringing motivated sellers to the table, and I bring forward the retail buyer, then I would expect a percentage of the profit from the transaction.

I dont see anything illegal there, if it is alot my clients are going to jail.

Sounds a lot like a real estate agent. Check into local laws to make sure what you are doing is not acting as a real estate agent without a license.

Also, I really don’t think you are going to get 50% of profits for finding a buyer when they can hire a full service agent for 6%.
