I am just starting out in RE investing and had planed to find motivated sellers to wholesale deals. I have herd a lot of diffrent opinions on what is working the best in this economy. Just starting out is finding motivated sellers the way to go, or doing REO deals. Any help will be appreciated thanks

I would do whatever you feel more comfortable doing. For the REO deals, the wholesales profits are not as big because the competition is higher and raises the price. If you find deals on your own the profits are bigger but there is a little bit more upfront work of finding them and possible marketing money you’ll need. It really doesn’t matter though. The most important thing is to take action and make offers.
