Is the future bright for us real estate folks?

The economy has been quickly slipping since the crash in 2008. Freddie mac and Fannie Mae have become destroyed and are currently being controlled and funded by our lovely government. Laws and restrictions have passed and applied making the purchase of real estate and making a decent profit creatively more difficult for us investors. Houses all over the country have decreased in value tremendously and foreclosures are at an all time high. And to make things worse the value of our dollar has been getting slayed lately. With all of that being said, i would like to know from you guys is now a good time to get into flipping , wholesaling contracts and rehabbing houses? I cant imagine with all these negative events going on in today’s current state that many investors would be willing to invest there money into the market knowing that tomorrow may not be a sunny day.

When do you go shopping for clothes/TVs/whatever? when things are full priced, or when things are on sale? right now real estate is “on sale”, BLUE LIGHT SPECIAL, and unlike consumer goods, history tells us investors that real estate WILL appreciate over the long run.
There’s a local commercial that some realtor in my area runs and he says something like: “It would have to be the apocalype for people to stop buying and selling homes.” THATS TRUE! people will ALWAYS need places to live!
