Is it worth it

Hello everyone,
Is it worth it to purchase a loss mitigation course for about $1,000? Please help I seriously thinking about buying the course here this week. Or is there anything else that is good learning material I can get without costing that much?

Thanks for any advice,

Greenbie

I don’t have the course to be honest, but I did want to ask you a couple of questions.

What is your purpose for the course? What I mean is, what are you attempting to accomplish with the acquisition?

Are you already investing, or are you still looking to get started?

Also, would this be your first course, or do you already own others?

Thank you for your response MarketMaven,
I’m brand new to the business. I don’t know a lot about real estate. I bought Carlton Sheets course, but it sat on my desk collecting dusts for over a year. I’d like to invest or do short sales sometime in the near future where I’m alot more knowlegable about the business.

Thanks again,

Greenbie,

In my personal opinion I think that you already have everything you need to be successful in this business. Don’t fall into the trap that many (including myself) have…where you keep saying “well, once I know XYZ then ill be ready to start investing.”

Trust me, that day will never come. The funny thing about our industry is, even though it is a very linear, very simple industry, there is always something new to learn. The more you learn the more you realize you don’t know.

It is normal to feel unsure of youself, but don’t let that stop you from getting started. Read through the Sheets course again. Look through the forums and articles on this and every other site you can. But don’t wait another second. Light a fire under your tush, and get out there and make it happen. You can do it. Your first step is to start marketing. Get the phone ringing and the rest will come naturally.

If I’m coming off to “preachy” accept my apology, but heed my advice. You’re as ready now as you’ll ever be. IF we took every seminar/course on walking before tried it we’d all still be in the craddle. Get out there, ask questions as you go, and let us know how it comes together for you

so are telling me to spend the money and get the course? ???

No, I’m saying pass on the course for the moment, and get back to buying courses when things start rolling for you…the Sheets course should be enough to start making you money. You can always come back and get the course with your profits (then it’s a writeoff). Just my opinion, for what it’s worth.

MarketMaven,
Thank you for the advice.
