I was wondering if anyone has ever invested in properties that had IRS liens or state income tax liens? I assume these agencies would be paid by the closing agent on the sale date. But how long does it take for the IRS to file a lien release? Is it feasible to wholesale a property with an IRS lien?
The IRS liens can be attached to the property. Most lenders will not finance properties where the buyer has IRS liens because they can take precedence over the first lienholder.
