Investors and Investor Clubs

I am an investor and a TX licensed RE agent. I am exploring opporturnities for presenting rental/investment property to investors in other states. I am willing to travel and am wondering about going to investment clubs to talk about TX opportunities; especially in areas like NY, CA – areas where property prices are high and the value of TX real estate can really be appreciated.

For those of you who belong to REI clubs; do you think there would be an interest in that type of investment? The DFW club is mostly comprised of local investors (not a knock, I am one of them); but I’m not sure there would be a real market for talking out of state–of course, we have the good market here so there is really no need.

Just looking for some feedback. Thanks for sharing, Betty

Betty,

Unfortunately, I don’t think that your timing is very good. The real estate fad is over. I’m not saying that there aren’t anymore suckers in California or New York, but the number is rapidly declining. You just have to decide how many suckers you need to find to make it worthwhile.

Mike

Just a tad on the down side there, huh Mike. We have a thriving business here in out of state investors; think more property owners in TX are from CA than home bred. Just looking for ways to expand and exploring some options. But thanks for the feedback I appreciate it. Didn’t say it was a great idea, just an idea.

Best to you, Betty
