So I found what I think is a good multifamily – 3 units, 1400/month total rent, asking price 110K. But to my surprise when I went to the bank to get a prequal letter they said I’d have to put down 25%! I was thinking/hoping I could put down 10%. They said “Oh nobody is doing 10% for investment properties these days.” That true?

The property is in AZ by the way

We had a good run going of no money down deals with a local bank until we reached the banker’s comfort level after 11 houses. That door is still open when we pay off some of those houses. Now we use a bank that wants 15% down. 25% down is fairly standard for investment property loans now that banks want to limit their risk on those loans.
