Interest Rate on Conventional Home Loan

Hello, again,
I will like to know the current 2006 average interest rate on a conventional home loan. I have been told that on a 30 year conventional home loan that the current interest rate ranges from 5.2 to 6.6. percent. On a 15 year fixed-rate loan conventional home loan, I believe the interest rate is 5.5-6.0? Are these figures correct? I hope that individuals that work in the loan industry can provide me with accurate numbers. Thank you very much.

current interest rates depend on a lot of variables credit being the biggest variable. does that mean that not so great credit wont get you the loan-- no but probably at a higher rate.

Those rates seem about average. As mentioned previoulsy, rates are dependent upon a variety of variables. You may want to contact a professional to get a more accurate idea.
