inspection on an REO

When we were moving to texas, we were looking at a REO property, built on peir and beam instead of a slab. When we had an inspector look at the house, the access hole in the floor was not large enough to allow anyone through it, and would need to be cut open to be inspected well.

The bank wouldn’t let us do this. How would one proceed in a situation like this?

It’s a gamble, you did the right thing by getting an inspector. However if the property can not be inspected properly than I would pass on it.
