If you inherit a house becasue it was left to you in a will does it have to go through probate court andif so do you need to pay taxes on it before your name goes on the title?

Yes, inhertied real estate usually goes though probate. The estate is responsible for property taxes, but if the estate is not sufficiently funded to pay the property taxes, it will fall to the beneficiary.
