I’ve been looking at some other forums in the last few weeks–more for housecare advice than investing. But they have some investing threads there. Lots of werid advice like putting a large downpayment to “make it cashflow”, people who confuse appreciation with cash flow, and people who are surprised and outraged that their tenants caused damage. It’s quite apparent that a lot of people out there don’t really understand this stuff. I feel that reiclub, and one other site, are by far the best places to learn about REI on the web.
What is the other site?
I wasn’t sure if I was allowed to mention it here. The biggerpockets dot com site. Although I mainly use this site.
Very good site indeed. There are a few more very credible sites… But REIclub seems to be moderated the best which helps a ton.
WTF you dissin on BP I happen to be a member there and let me tell you something my friend not to dis this site but BP is a ton better than REIclub for the fact that it’s a whole lot more active and you can network there a lot more than you can here.

If you reread the original thread more closely you will see that the poster is actually complimenting the other site, not dissin it. nothing to get upset over.
