im a new investor i have read all books due dilegence rich dad etc.

what method should i approach in starting to make a few thousand dollars in Real estate for me as a starter anybody out there want to give me encouraging information

It depends on how much knowledge & experience you have, as well as how much money you have and what your goals are.

If you want some more specific answers, you will need to ask some more specific questions or describe yourself to us in detail.

Tell us your goals, plans, dreams, etc - and how they relate to real estate. Tell us how much money you have to invest, what books you have read and how much experience you have if any. GET DETAILED. And we will be able to help you with a few more specific ideas. =)

Personally I would spend a few hours, or days, reading over this message board and look at all of your investment options. You have dozens of choices!

Good luck!

i do not have any money to invest in, i would like to do the no money down approach lease assignments etc. apple tv is a great learning tool for people like me, if i type in lease assignments it will give me professionals who describe in detail how to do lease assignments, if i type in reos it will give me a different instructure who is knowledgable in how to do reos.

I recommend to all starters apple tv is a must if you would like to learn real estate information in the comfort of your living room

Lease assignments are definitely fitting your situation that you described. I’d look into The Naked Investor, the $97 manual he sells is spectacular.

Good deal. It sounds like you found a way or two to get started without much money then. Other things you might consider are wholesaling, becoming a real estate agent (to earn $$$ and get more experience on the sales / deal making side) or saving up some money and doing something like a mobile home note (less than $5k would get you started). Good luck!

Who sells The Naked Investor? Sorry for the hijack.

I have written several articles about this, but in short these are my ideas for a new investor to start make money in real estate investing right away and learn the business at the same time.

  • Real Estate Assistant to an experienced investor or real estate agent
  • Bird Dogging
  • Real Estate Lease Options

This way you learn the business first hand, instead of just reading books, and follow established leaders in the industry.

I’d suggest you pick a strategy that appeals to you, your situation, and your current finances… then figure out how to fund that strategy if funds are needed. Obviously if you choose wholesaling, you don’t need funds. If you’re looking buy, fix, and flip a property - you’re gonna needs funds. But it doesn’t have to be your funds. You could get funds from friends and family (not recommended), you could take on a partner (who provides the funding), you could go to private lenders, etc.

The nice thing about real estate is you have so many options. Just choose one and get busy making it work for your situation. As you go along actually doing deals, you’ll learn more ways to tweak things to better suit your needs.
