If you can't say something good...........................

From this point forward I will post only POSITIVE news about the Real Estate market :bs :bs :bs :bs :bs :bs :bs :bs :bs :bs :bs :bs

Sorry I tried.

Can’t do it.

You guy’s have probably read my last post here. I fully expect to be BANNED shortly.

Oh well, they don’t call it CONTRARIAN INVESTING because the name was easy to spell.

P.S. Contrarian Investing is doing the opposite of what MOST people are doing. ie. Your buying homes when no one wants them. (a time quickly approaching) OOPS< negative> SORRY

I don’t think anyone has a problem with you posting comments on the current market and new developments that arise daily because they are informative; sometimes your post are even the first I hear of a new situation.

Whats too much is predicting the next great depression, especially in a beginner forum.

If there’s going to be a depression, do you think I could make some money owning soup-kitchens?

Mike

If anyone could my money’s on you. I’ll even buy the soup. I know you have the PERFECT building.

No disrespect, but if someone is not capable of coming to their own conclusions about things, then perhaps real estate investing is not for them…unless they’d like to buy my properties for more than market value, in which case I am all too happy to help them get started.

Seriously, what you’re saying doesn’t make sense to me…it’s not OK to predict a depression, but if someone was posting all the time that he thinks real estate is a no-lose situation and that appreciation rates are headed back to 20% annually across the country, it sounds like you wouldn’t have a problem with that.

NO SOUP FOR YOU!!! All your doing Pete is reporting some reality. Are you heavy sometimes? Yes. I think your posts keep this board exciting though and are informative.

I think what the mods are missing are the intentions of Petefma. Is his intention to do harm or scare people off or is it to help people out? I hate to say it, but private forums are a tough place for rugged individual thinkers. What I have found is that while the individual thinker may be correct and ahead of his time, the moderators will censor the poster when the mods don’t understand what is really being said.

I have been in Pete’s position on other forums. I was censored, even though my predictions came true and are now the standard in that industry. The sad thing is when this collapse does happen, everyone will say ‘oh I knew it was coming’. Yet in reality, they are just as bad off as the rest of us.

The one thing Petefma doom and gloom has done for me is that it has brought focus to what I should be doing. I felt like I should be buying rentals right now, but it didn’t FEEL right. I didn’t see how I could sell these homes with to people or make the monthly mortgage payments even with renters in these homes. So I was doing nothing. And I felt bad for it. Until Pete confirmed what I was feeling which is that’s what I should be doing. Oh, I am working on my credit and starting to save money, but the anxiety of NOT being in the market is gone.

That’s worth a lot to a beginner…

Petemfa,

I hope you don’t quit posting. Everyone has a right to their opinion. I can’t thank this forum enought, and everyone involved, for helping me get started in rei. (A special thanks to propertymanager for his insights and patience with my pms.)

Petema and the people responding to your posts–I had a very narrow understanding of our economic situation before petema started to share his thoughts. Thank you for broadening my understanding and causing me to think about the things you are saying.

What your describing is almost interchangeable and in my honest opinion positive hype is more dangerous than negative hype. Look at all those gurus out there who have put these warped ideas in beginners heads that they can make a fortune in a few weeks flipping homes; the vast majority of these people have lost money or worse.

AMEN! Truer words were never spoken!
