I hope Obama succeeds... at changing his mind!,,,

Came across this by accident (not a big youtubin’ type of guy) of a news site. Thought is was an interesting commentary…

Enjoy…

I believe that no matter how things progress, the internet is not going away and we are entering into an age of enlightenment. People will get online and express their beliefs. It’s like standing at the microphone stand with the whole world watching….you fly or you flail. myspace, youtube, facebook… the content gets very interesting from here. Lazy minded, bigoted people will reveal themselves as such. Thinking, passionate people will also have a chance to be heard.

It’s discerning that Obama is not in office yet, but somehow it seems that he has already failed to do his job. Regardless of political view, these our grave times in which we should ALL be behind our president, or at least hoping he does well. It serves no purpose to wish the man ill, or to get some kind of kick out of pointing out his flaws in such a dismal environment. He’s going to do things that Republicans won’t like and, he’s going to do things that Democrats don’t like. It is utterly impossible to please everyone. However, we’re all going to have to compromise something to get something. Yes, most of us did NOT contribute to the way the economy is and yada yada yada. It’s time to move on. Of course someone will disagree with me, but if I’ve ever learned anything in life it has been this: fighting resolves NOTHING. We can continue to fight about what we think is right, or we can all compromise a little bit to move on collectively as citizens of a country who envision a much brighter future for ourselves and family alike.

I’ll end my delusional rant now!

“…a much brighter future for ourselves and family alike” - Chris, I couldn’t agree more…

Infortiunately, at this juncture, I don’t believe that is what will happen during the next four years. I truly hope to be proven wrong on that…

Do I wish Obama well as a human being… yes, do I hope some racist psycho doesn’t take him out… yes, do I hope that we aren’t attacked again… yes,

BUT…

Do I want Obama to succeed in his socialist agenda? Absolutely not… as I believe that if it is enacted, it will lead to the opposite of what I quoted from your post…

He’s ALREADY backpeddling on his campaign PROMISES (like he did in Illinois), so maybe there’s hope.

I do find it interesting that in these “grave times” the current president did not receive the same support the Obamites are now saying Obama should be afforded.

I give our current administration great credit in their efforts to heed a market collapse and the unity they showed in doing so. I supported Bush for quite some time, and still don’t think everything he has done in the past 8 years was profound. I don’t bleed Democrat or Republican. I truly don’t care who gets in, as long as they’re willing to bring something to the table. Obama has already showed he’s more than willing to work with Republicans and Democrats alike, so that is a HUGE wall that has been knocked down already. We’ll need some kind of comradely relationship to drag ourselves out of this huge mess we’re all in.

I think that too much credit AND blame come down on the president. This is not a dictatorship. We have a collection of govt. officials that WE elected in. The problems we’re facing are too big for the govt. to fix. These problems are global. Also, the problems we face now are just a compilation of the previous govts. pushing the problems to the next generation of politians and taxpayers. It appears to be business as usual. But I’ll take the wait and see approach when it comes to Obama. Hopefully this admin. will actually work to solve the problems instead of just putting bandaids on everything…
