I want to begin bidding on HUD properties but it has been very difficult locating an agent who is willing to put the bids in for me. One agent I was working with said she would need a proof of funds letter before she would bid on any of the properties ?? I don’t think I have heard of an agent wanting a POF before putting in a bid ? Perhaps it may be best for me to get my real estate license and bid on the properties myself…trying to locate an agent is becoming too much of a headache. Can anyone provide insight on this ? Do you need a proof of funds before you are able to bid on HUD ?
Our agent puts in bids for us and then we provide proof of funds if the offer is accepted. I don’t get a POF letter first.
