How to secure a new heat pump??

I just bought a fc and put in new heat pump as other one :help was stolen and wondered how I can keep this one from getting gone until I sell it? Any ideas??

when we put in new AC units we don’t put the outside unit ‘in’ until it has a tenant about to move in,but I like Justin’s idea,I have one house that had something like that already in place, but make sure if you have someone build it for you that it allows access for the unit to be serviced,I like the idea of buying something actually designed for that purpose

Get yourself a custom made A/C cage. In Dallas I have a welder who can make a basic cage for $250 (hinged top, with window burglar bar style bars) or a premium model for $350 (hinged top, with metal mesh all the way around the cage…the thing is a mini Fort Knox). Just call some welders and you’ll find someone who can make one for you. Good luck!
