I live in Indianapolis and I only know of one local bank. How can I locate more?

Look in the phone book. Look online. Drive around the suburbs. Local banks are basically anything that’s not Wells Fargo, B of A, Regions, Compass, etc. The larger “corporate” banks are going to have strict guidelines that they don’t sway from as well as too many hands in the cookie jar. The person you talk to will not be the one making decisions. They’ll be data gatherers. If you go to a smaller bank, you are much more likely to find something to suit your needs. Remember, local banks can have several area branches, but they won’t be all over several states.
