How do I find these folks?

Howdy everyone,
I was wondering if there was an easier way to find an owner of a property without going to the Revenue’s office?

Anyone have any websites?

Thanks,

Depending on where you are located, your county may have property tax records info available online. In my county you just need the PIN, which is available by entering the address on the county assessor’s website property search form.

You could try www.netronline.com, but it isn’t free.

You’ve probably already tried this, but if you are not looking to spend money you could also go to http://www.reversephonedirectory.com/, put in the address, and see what name/number comes up. Of course that will tell you who lives there as opposed to who owns it, but if it gives you a phone number it is a start.

Thanks for much for your response. I will be using these websites.

If you can’t locate the owners try this website:

http://www.findtheseller.com/

Andrea,

Guess the first place you can start is under Business Tools on this site called “The Ultimates”. Another good site is zabasearch.com. Really all you need to do is Google “background checks” or “investigative services” and you will get a TON of them. Most are free but some of the better ones are a pay service. Another one I see mentioned alot is findtheseller.com. Problem with some of these sites is that the info a lot of times is not updated. Ya just have to take your chances. Write a letter to the address in question and hope they put in a forwarding address. Also the neighbors can be a lot of help, even local Postmen too. But obviously the very first place you want to search for a homeowner is at the County Assessor’s Office. A lot of them will also be online too. Just Google that County a see what pops up. Hope that helps.
