I am a buyers specialist for a Vermont real estate firm. I would like to birddog for investors but I don’t know how to find investors to do this for. Any suggestions?
Attend local REI meetings, talk to investors, find out what they are looking for. You can also call the I buy house ads or signs in your area. Basically you want to talk to the people in your area that are buying and find out what they are looking for.
Check Craigslist or other classified ad sites and search for “hard money”, “cash to invest”, “investor”, etc. You’ll find the investors. Contact them by e-mail or by phone and see what types of properties they’re looking for.
Jilgab,
Check out my posting on getting started as a birddog.
Are you a broker or a salesperson? If you are a broker you can accept birddog fees direct, if you aren’t be sure all funds go through your broker. If not you can be fined, your license can be suspended, etc.
He may not be either which is the catagory I fit into. I had my RE License but I let it go. Now I’m an Account Exec. for a real estate firm in Springfield, VA and I don’t need my license to do what I do…I only need good morals. :biggrin
