Houston or Dallas?

Bluemoon vs ChrisW. GOGO!!!

with all factors considered. (lifestyle, money, fun things to do)

Raleigh!

I agree with John, if you are going to move to Dallas you may as well move to Raleigh. It is the same thing.

Houston has a world class medical center (job for you). You know what I think of the standard of living here. If you are looking to get into real estate investing the REI clubs in Houston actually do work and they work for where you are. The fact that the MLS has a public face helps you determine house values as precisely as a realtor. Also since the rental rates versus purchase prices make cash flow possible over a broad spectrum of the town Houston is very attractive.

Definitely Houston is the place to move and/or invest… =)

That leaves more deals in Dallas for me. =D

both are good, but become an expert in one small geographical area,I deal in one suburb of dallas, primarily in one area, and most of the property I buy is not only in one school district but in a particular high school’s area in that school district.

for rental property the fact that one side of the street attends x high school, while the other attends y high school can make the difference if its leased or not,but you don’t know this without really getting to know the area

Hi,

Since most of my extended family has been living in Texas since after the civil war, and my family reunion is in Fort Worth every year I have to vote Dallas - Fort Worth.

Austin is a dynamic urban center bursting with accommodations and restaurants and numerous entertainment districts within the city,

Dallas with my best friend in middle January 2012! :beer

one difference is the weather,in the summer it can be 106 in the shade in Dallas with 20% humidity, while in Houston its only 105,but its 90% humidity
