My inlaws want to buy a house in the city where I live. This will also be thier way of leaving something for my wife and her sister. I know they should be on title, in order for them to benefit, but I know im missing something.

Financing will be the biggest issue. How do they intend to finance the purchase? You will probably want to get them a good deal but with little fix up if they are getting up in age. Close to shopping, doctors etc perhaps near the bus line. Just too much guessing here to be much help. Maybe post a more detailed question.
