Hello y’all feedback please… http://www.hometext.us
For me, I feel angry when i recieve txt add message on my phone. I think the best way is to send email.
Even when you request the information?
How’s this program working for you so far? It’s a curious idea-I’m interested to see how you plays out for you…
Do you mind my asking what you will be using this for?
Questions to consider if the buyer is to text a message in order to get a response with listing information (text-for-text):
-If you are selling to people with low to middle incomes and bad credit, then most of them probably won’t have a high tech cell phone like the iphone. If they do, are they spending their money wisely? If not, are they the best candidates to buy your houses?
-If you are selling higher end houses that appeal to upper income people, will the number of people you will be marketing to justify the expense of the service?
-Flyers with pictures and listing details outside the house will provide the same information, including a link to your website and a phone number to call if they are interested in learning about other houses you have for sale. Therefore, will this service provide you with more utility?
It didn’t appear as though they offered bulk texting, which to me would be more appealing because of the reasons listed above.
Questions to consider if they are subscribing to your buyers list to be updated of new properties (subscription to bulk testing):
If you want t use this service to email your buyers list when new properties are added, then…
How many of your buyers will have the ability to get this information via their cell phone using web access…liek a blog or rss feed.
How would they prefer to hear about the houses you put on the market? Email, text, ect.
I think bulk texting would be preferable because a flyer provides the same utility as would texting a code to receive info about the house. How many people will text just out of curiousity…like neighbors wondering how much the house is selling for?
What do you think?

Great points…
The key component is that the buyer who requests the info is relayed instantly to the Listing Agent. That doesnt happen with a sign or flyer call. Those calls go to the “Up” desk where an agents sits waiting for the call to come in and then the listing agent now must split their commission.
As for nuisance calls from neighbors… As an agent I would want to know who is thinking about selling their house. Even if they are not interested now at least I have began a dialog.
As for bulk texting that is an exciting feature. Soon to be here. An agent will have the ability to set up a schedule of touches back to both their import list and inbound list.
So on Christmas everyone would get a text and so on, however a series of texts staying in contact with a contact will happen until either opts out or discontinues the plan.
It gets a lot of fun with the texting of pics and files to a prospects phone. Monthly newsletters to pics of new listings…
In the US we havent seen this type of service yet however in some other countries text information is commonplace.
I was happy to find out that 57% of people who request info via their cell phone text are over the age of 35 and more texts are sent then cell phone calls made.
This really goes back to “Why” and ultimately its to capture a prospect. Information is gold in any market…
