I am looking for help in preparing a business plan. Any suggestions? My ultimate goal is an SBA loan. I can write the words, but get lost in projecting numbers and my confidence quickly erodes!
I must confess, I have paid nearly $3K to a coaching company that was totally worthless, the coach/advisor read from a script and couldn’t answer questions.
Then I gave $800 to the guy who prepared/updated my resume. I thought he was trustworthy. All I got was a “to-do list” which included apply for a SBA loan. So I inquired and learned I needed a business plan.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. My funds (with the above expenditures) has diminished - I can’t play games any longer.

I would suggest you go to Google (my wife says I sound like a broken record when I tell her to Google anything I don’t have an answer for). If you’re not too familiar with them I guarantee you can find an answer to just about anything. Sometimes you have to change your questions but sooner or later you’ll get an answer. I believe the government puts out info on filling out an app for a SBA loan. Google will know.
I hate to bring you the unsavory news, but anyone who claim they can write a business plan for you is most likely lying. Don’t waste money on them. If you don’t know your own business plan, they will know far less than you.
My experience is that even with a business plan, it didn’t turn out the way I planned. I make major milestone goals and the details I fill in later as I go along. Many times I had to revise the plans. THis is probably beginner’s business plan. I’m not sure how a more sophisticated organization make business plans.
