Has anyone heard of this -- Real Estate Accelerated Profits™

I came across this site – http://www.quityourjobin45days.com/

Has anyone heard of this and the strategy he is promoting? He is also not disclosing his full name, only his first, Scott.

Any idea about it would be great. Thanks.

Jon

Hey joolkano,
I would say anything that attempts to sell you something with no actual proof of success is something to beware of. The problem with our business now is there’s some many “gurus” who make money selling courses and that’s really all they do. Anyone can go online, gather information about investing and attempt to write a course. I’m not saying this guy is a fraud just beware. If you’re a newbie looking to get involved there are a few easy steps you can take without buying a course. Good Luck.

What BAH6 said is true. You have to remember that nothing in how to do real estate is secret and all of it can be had free at the library. What you get from any course you buy or mentor you use is the expertise from the people selling it. No matter what anybody says just like politics all real estate is local. The person you talk to about real estate needs to have local knowledge personally investing WHERE YOU ARE PLANNING TO INVEST THE WAY YOU WANT TO DO IT. You can’t do what works in Dallas in San Francisco and you can’t do what works in Chicago in St Petersburg. For that fact what works in St Petersburg won’t work in Miami. Always qualify your potential mentor by asking him what he does and only listen to him doing that thing. For example if you want me to mentor you and you want to flip houses don’t talk to me because I don’t know how to. If you want to own single family houses in Houston Texas you won’t find anybody that knows that better than I do. I don’t mentor (for profit) but I do know how to make money in this market doing it.

People always tell me I should write a book but I tell them that I am not prepared to talk about things that I have no idea how they work. I won’t do no cash no credit, I won’t do “flip, trip and fail”, and I won’t do this deceptive financing stuff. The things I know will only fill 10 pages and I am not willing to sell stuff that I have no personnel knowledge if it will work or not. Nobody is expert in all techniques in all markets.

I smell a scam.

  • He insults other gurus
  • Yet claims to be a guru himself
  • He insults some actual legit investing ideas (tax liens can be excellent investments, for example, so obviously he doesn’t know that much about real estate as a whole - in my opinion)
  • He gives limited details about what his system is
  • There are no success stories
  • He does not use his full name, or even advertise or prove how successful he is at it (even cheezy infomercials show people with their $20,000 or so checks that they have earned, LOL)
  • If you do a WHOIS lookup on his domain, it is registered to DomainsByProxy.com - which is GoDaddy.com’s way of letting people hide their name/company/address/phone etc - it’s usually a way scammers hide themselves / keep things private
  • If you google quityourjobin45days.com all you see are “get rich quick” links to the site, which again reeks of a scam

So I would not touch that thing with a 10 foot pole

They also appear to be advertising the site using shills (someone posting fake success stories or advertisements, who may or may not be the creator of the package himself - who knows).

See http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20110805221736AAhW6A6

No real person would have ONE Yahoo answer (people typically answer many questions when they contribute to Yahoo answers…a comparable situation is when someone comes on REIClub.com and posts one or two messages advertising a get rich quick scheme…yawn), and have such a canned response that sounds like it was copied & pasted from the main website. They would get a little detailed about what the “secret” is…wouldn’t you think?

Think we should be vigilant in making business deals if we know little bout the people we are dealing with. Scams are everywhere now a days.

Don’t waste your money. You can get this stuff for free anywhere. There is no guarantee of any results.

Have you read the disclaimer? Under earnings, it says there is no guarantee you’ll earn any money using these techniques. Under the testimonial disclaimer, it says, “THE PERFORMANCE EXPERIENCED BY USER COMMENTS AND TESTIMONIALS, ON THIS PAGE AND/OR OUR WEB SITE , IS NOT WHAT YOU SHOULD EXPECT TO EXPERIENCE.” And, “THESE RESULTS ARE NOT TYPICAL…”

Wow, I think I’ll blow my money on the lottery instead.
