Hard Money loans and the funding side of the business

I have been venturing into this area of investing in the last few months…I know it takes substantially more capital than owning traditional real estate but imho its much less risky…Ive been doing a number of %50 LTV mortgages for clients with free and clear properties…They also put the deed in lieu of foreclosure, prepay the year and the points up front…Can anyone that is in the HM lending business share anymore advice on this lucrative industry…I have a friend here in NY that does HM also but he is very slow because of lack of funds to fund deals so he has been trying to broker deals but at the same time many are gun shy about actually pulling the trigger to fund these deals…But in comparison to my field of expertise these loans are a no brainer being they are so highly collateralized and the borrowers sign contracts and put deeds in lieu…Thank you for any further advice…

im surprised no advice from all the veteran hard money lenders here…
