I’m an engineer but since the economy is pretty bad, I had to turn to real estate. I’m new to real estate investing but just secure myself some houses for sale of which some will be sold for short sale. I also come across several houses that are selling between 30% to 70% below actual price.
My question is, do I look for hard money lender or investor? Also where can I get the best of any? Any input is highly appreciated. Please send me links to hard money lender or investor you or anyone has used in the past.
Thanks
Folks I need help on this topic please
HML and investors aren’t necessarily different things. There are many different pieces to this question that can’t really be answered without further info from you. For example, what type of houses are you planning on buying? Turn-key properties or rehabs? What do you plan to do with the houses once you have them-meaning do you want to buy and hold or are you just looking to get the houses under contract and wholesale them to other investors. Your personal strategy is going to make a difference as to what kind of financing you will need to secure. Set out your personal/business goals and strategies here and then we can help identify financing sources. Also, as a side note, how much capital do you have to start up with, as that’s all going to play into the answer to your question.
If you specifically want to check out some hard money lenders, look at the left sidebar of this website for a list. You can also contact your local REI club to get in contact with some local HML/investors that may offer financing.
