:shocked We rceived a call from a probate today and the seller had mentioned that when they went through the court process that they told her she could not take less than 75% of the houses value. Have they already changed the laws for selling real estate? We had read about the bill they were trying to pass that Hooch was talking about in the forum, and i guess they are taking action on it now. Does anyone have any info or has anyone dealt with a situation like this one yet. The house the seller has is old and needs repairs. It may not be able to be sold because of its condition and the court stating she can only sell for 75% and above. Sad, Sad, Sad. Investors are not going to be pleased if this is the way the government is going to help out home owners. :argue Please reply back and give any info you may have. Thanks for your :help :banghead
No that does not have to do with any government bill. When a house is in probate and is going through probate court and has to be sold the judge has the ability to say the property had to be sold for a certain % of the appraised value. With the executor go back to the probate court tell the judge what your offer is and see if you can get the price adjusted.
Thanks
