Google Adwords: Cheaper Traffic?

PPC has been known to be a lucrative method to generating traffic and making a profit online. However, Google Adwords has also cost a lot; in terms of money and loss, to many marketers who either lack the skill in PPC or the money necessary to invest.
Google Adwords would typically want advertisers to spend every dime on them, but by going this route you won’t generate much profit and will probably end up in more loss than gain. The reality is that there is a better way to get Google Adwords traffic.

#1- NICHES
The idea of saturation is essential to picking out the right market, and typically if a market is saturated the chances for profit and success are slim. By going into smaller niche markets that aren’t saturated with competition the chances for success are much greater. A mathematical example could be that if an advertiser aims for a smaller niche with dramatically less competition the clicks could easily fall into the range of 300-500 for under $0.10 a click. The reason for this again is that not a lot of people are going into these markets and so its easier to get the cheaper traffic and the tons of money.

#2 CONTENT NETWORK
The Content Network is an underrated traffic stream. The reason is that most people don’t know about it, and so its smarter to focus upon the Content Network when it comes to getting traffic from Adwords. However, the Content Network is not a magic stick and there have been many bad experiences by people who have gotten thousands of bad visitors from it and have never made a profit. The reality about the Content Network is that an advertiser should have the right approach, and with this approach the generation of profit and good cheap traffic is far beyond possible.

Overall, the Content Network is a better source for traffic because most advertisers are scared to advertise on it and so there’s a lot less competition. Another thing is that the quality of traffic is a lot better.

So, the possibility for cheap AND quality traffic from Adwords is there, it just takes changing your methodology and working smarter.

PPC is amazing stuff. Once you learn how to optimize your landing page, test it out, see what keywords work the best for your niche, you will be basically getting some very cheap leads, and a lot of these leads can be very lucrative. I love pay per click. :beer

I’ve spent thousands of dollars on pay per click and dollar for dollar I get a much higher return on SEO. My experience with pay per click with google is that the leads don’t tend to be as high of quality compared to leads generated through organic SEO.

AdWords works great for traffic, but not so much for conversion. Organic results seem to work best overall.

you are so kind thank you for this wonderful information.

In my experience SEO in general works better than a PPC campaign. I havn’t done too much with it but getting free traffic from good SEO work is important.

I would tend to agree with the poster above. I know in the past I’ve seen a lot of good results from quality SEO work.

I agree, I don’t think PPC traffic is worth it. Try some other interesting methods such as this one that I pointed out in another thread → http://www.reiclub.com/forums/index.php/topic,46491.msg236363.html#msg236363

PPC has been a hit and miss for me so far. I get the traffic but as far as conversion goes, it is pretty underwhelming so far. We’ll see.

PPC is good but organic SEO is way better.

PPC vs. Organic SEO

PPC Wins Hands down

Google AdWords is the best tool and it is better to get into this. I use this tool for my work and mainly to find out keywords and their competition.

PPC is better on the short t lone thrm level But, SEO is the best on long term level

Here are some effective ways on how to generate traffic to your website:

Blog commenting
Forum posting
Social bookmarking
Press release
Article writing
Directory submission

I heard on Sean Terry’s podcast that his PPC campaign ends up costing him about $78/lead. I think I’ll pass on that for now. LOL

PPC is good but at the same time SEO is even important for better promotion and organic results. By implementing some SEO processes that are best to drive traffic is very far essential.

PPC campaigns are getting more expensive nowadays right, due to rising cost per click. Makes sense because more small to medium sized businesses are flooding to adwords and the like to promote their products and this lead to increase in keyword costs. So over the long run, PPC might turn out to be a pricey strategy for traffic acquisition.

PPC traffic and SEO traffic both have their advantages, and I don’t think it’s a matter of one vs. the other, but a matter of one with the other. The combo, if used right, can really yield powerful results. That being said, the most important advantage of each: SEO is FREE, PPC is FAST. How targeted each one is, really depends on your own keyword research, which is instrumental in the success of your campaigns. Also, remember that there are other PPC networks besides Adwords which can be great at lead capturing, like 7search.com or looksmart.com.

PPC is great for new websites since traffic is generated instantly but can also be very expensive depending on your market. A click can range anywhere from $0.50 up to $10 or more. If you don’t know anything about keyword research, might as well forget it. Another thing is, not all people like clicking on ads. The best way to really market your website online is if you can make it ranking on natural results and this can be done thru SEO and Search Engine Marketing.
