Go Green

:bobble What do rehabers and flippers feel about going green when flipping houses. :smile

Do you have any specifics?

I hire this guy:

He takes care of all of the green problems.

I believe you could make the house more desirable for some buyers after the flipping if you go green. A good approach might be to do some green stuff but not go overboard. I don’t think you need to spend a lot of money to do your hehab as green as possible. If you do some few things you can still point out that you did some green stuff - for example - you could replace the lightbulbs with the ones that use less energy. And then write in your marketing material that you have done that… I bet this would appeal to some people.

And you gave me an idea. I am getting ready to rehab my first property. It will be a rental… But I might be willing to do some green stuff (like the lightbulb example above). It may give me an edge if I can say to the potential renter - by the way the house comes with low energy lightbulbs, which will help keep your energy costs down… :O) Interesting idea… Thank you.

:bobble The best way to go green is light bulbs, recycle floors, your app., You don’t have to go all green but it is a start to go green.
