Hey everyone,
just wanted to make people aware of the Go Green Expo in the following areas. It will be in Philadelphia this weekend, March 13-15th, New York City April 17-19, and Atlanta June 26-28.
You can go to their website to view the weekend schedule as they’ll have lots of topics and speakers at www.gogreenexpo.com
Tickets are only $10 and I strongly encourage everyone that can go, to go. :biggrin
If you are going to remodel something and you can do a green alternative for the same price you might as well, shows like this are always good for showing you ways you hadn’t thought of to use green alternatives. One of my favorites is bamboo flooring- cheaper than hardwood, looks good and is green.
Absolutely! Cork floors are another alternative, priced the same as bamboo and look just as good. Obviously you don’t want to spend extra money where you don’t have to, but if you know how and where you can implement great ideas and products, when the time is right you can do so. I had the pleasure of touring one of the most energy efficient homes in the nation this weekend located in Wayne, PA. Some of the concepts are so simple and make a world of difference in terms of cost and energy efficiency. He had bamboo and cork floors, recycled carpet and plenty of other cool things. You can check out his before/after photos as well as exactly what he did on his website, www.greenandsave.com. His backyard is self-cleaning (leaves removed) simply based on the natural winter wind currents, crazy!
