Getting starded in nc

Hi,
I been reading the rei websites for quite abit over the last couple of years and I’m ready to jump in but still not sure what the best way to get into it. I have somewhat limited resources for funds to do deals. I would like to see if there is some help out here for what is the best avenue to take as starting out with little cash. I just got brokers license but hadn’t sign on with anyone yet would this be helpful with doing lease option which seems to be the best entry level. Also if there is anyone in central nc between greensboro and rtp that would be interest in letting me shadow them thru a deal. That would a blessing. Fear to sum degree is what is stopping maybe seeing someone do it would help out. This is great site.

Bryan, you’re on the right track as far as getting started. If your finances are limited, and most of us started that way, then you need to protect what little cash you have. That means either wholesaling or lease options. I think the latter are easier because you can do Cooperative Assignments and offer the homeowner retail price, making the deal much easier to get accepted than a wholesale deal.

I would suggest wholesaling because it gives you a very good read on your market and what good cash buyers are looking at.
