Free Internet Marketing Seminar

The company I work with is doing some Free seminars in our city on Internet Marketing for Real Estate. We are in Grand Rapids, MI. Around here the seminars have been a huge hit. So far we have been putting them on at Real Estate Brokers.

Our interest is to start doing them at other parts of the country. It looks like we are gonna set them up in California and Hawaii. We basically plan to do 1 city per week for a while. We have the Flipping houses side of our business pretty well automated right now so we will be able to travel extensively.

A few questions I have.

#1. Know any place that may want to partner with us and host a seminar: It is free for any group of 10 or more. So far we have been marketing to Real Estate Agents and Brokers but it would apply to investors equally.
We do sell a marketing package at the end of the seminar. It’s not a sales pitch type seminar though. It teaches you how to do it and then says, if you don’t want to do it all yourself we will do it for you. It sells for $500 and we have found it does sell pretty well so far we have had a 30% conversion rate over about 100 agents.

#2. What’s the best way to build lists of broker’s to call and set it up with. We have hired a telemarketer who is making the calls for us. Starting today.

The seminar teaches how to get tons of sales leads each month using Craigslist, Postlets, and other websites. As well as creating real estate optimized lead generating websites. Then finally how to automate the entire system. It takes about an hour and a half to go through everything. It fits great with groups of 20-30. However 500 + would be cool too.

The seminar is completely free, we pay all our own expenses. If you know someone who we could set this up with please do get in touch with me. We will likely schedule Midwest cities soonest since we can just drive to them.

All of the REIA clubs like to have informative speakers. I know mine does. You should consider giving a call to all of them as you are in their state.

Thanks Hooch for that tip. Our problem so far has been exclusively looking at Broker’s offices.

Now we have a more clearly defined purpose and better system. REIA clubs RPOA clubs both are a good lead.

Also in each city that we go to we will be renting out a conference room and doing our seminar for the general public, local business owners,etc.

Once the tour starts I’ll post my schedule in here so that some of you can swing by if I’m in your city. Would love to network with some of REIClub across the states.

Jordan, My group is a good size. Approx 900 members. Main meetings first Monday of the month. Monthly attendance between 300 - 450 depending on speakers. We have several classes during the week at our own facility. I am new to posting in forums so I don’t know how to help you without getting one of us in trouble so I’ll just say that I do believe it is a topic that can be well received by the REIA audience and there are hundreds of these associations all over the country. Some are for profit most most are non-profit. Although not exhaustive, I believe their is a pretty good list of them right here on this site.

You will want to contact their “Programs Directors” (that’s what I do) If they are to small to have a PD then ask for the current President. They will direct you to the right person. BTW… Most groups book as much as a year in advance but you may want to ask if they have more then one venue. Best wishes.
